Hello, my name is Richard J. N. Copeland

I hope you enjoy reading this brand new website.



I am a poet lliving in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

I have been a member of Letchworth poetry group Poetry I. D. since about 2000, since when I have been published in several poetry magazines, including Envoi and, most recently The Frogmore Papers. I have also broadcast one of my poems on BBC Look East. This was a specially commissioned work and went out on the airwaves on the 6th July 2007.

I am a member of the Poetry Society since 2002 and have been a Stanza Rep for North Herts for two years, at the time of writing this.

My earliest influences were Ted Hughes and T. S. Eliot. I also greatly admire e. e. cummings and I have more recently come to appreciate the work of more avant garde contemporary poets such as J. H. Prynne.

I think that's about it, really.
